🏆 Eric Swanson def. 2nd Flight Golf · 3&1 · Round of 64 · Ubsey Golf Par 3 Shootout
gbburn needed just one blip to shake off a slow start in the Ubsey Golf Par 3 Shootout, falling behind early before turning the match around against 2ndFlightGolf. After dropping hole 2, gbburn ripped off three straight wins from hole 3 through hole 5 at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure - Bald Mountain to seize control for good. The back nine was a grind of halves, with six of nine holes squared, but gbburn stayed patient and picked up two more wins down the stretch to close it out 3&1 on hole 17.
It was a statement result for gbburn, who advances to the Round of 32 despite just 10 percent of pickers backing the win. 2ndFlightGolf will have to regroup, dropping to the losers bracket but staying alive in the tournament with another shot to climb back.
