🏆 gropper76 def. JLewTheBot · 1 up · Round of 64 · Ubsey Golf Par 3 Shootout
Gropper needed every last bit of Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure - Bald Mountain to get past JLewTheBot in a Round of 64 battle that went the distance. Gropper jumped out front early, winning three of the first three holes, but JLewTheBot clawed right back with a four hole stretch that put Gropper 1 down after 7. The match stayed tight from there, trading holes and halves all the way to the back nine, which saw five of the final nine squared. Only 36 percent of the 22 picks had Gropper winning this one.
Gropper closed it out 1 up, going 1 won and 2 halved over the final three holes to seal it on 18. The win sends Gropper on to the Round of 32, while JLewTheBot drops to the losers bracket, still alive in the tournament.
