JLew & The Tombots grinded out a wire to wire win over Big Dog Chris, closing it out 3&2 at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms in Losers Bracket Round 5. The pair jumped ahead early with a two hole run on 1 and 2, then leaned on a heavy dose of halves to keep Big Dog Chris at arm's length all day. A late push from TheBigDog and ChrisGolf on 13 and 15 cut into the lead, but JLewTheBot and TOM70 answered enough down the stretch, going 0 won and 2 halved over the final three holes to see it through.
Only 40 percent of pickers had JLew & The Tombots winning this one, but they backed it up on the course. JLew & The Tombots move on to Losers Bracket Round 6, while Big Dog Chris is eliminated from the tournament after a hard fought battle.
