The Round of 16 delivered the week's loudest statement, as Gorilla Gypsy dismantled Yaks and Whiskey 4&3 in the 2026 Fall Classic. Just 10 percent of the pick'em crowd saw it coming, making it the rare true upset in a bracket that has otherwise mostly gone to form. It was one of two results this week that sent a team packing for good, since the tournament remains double elimination and a loss in the losers bracket is the end of the road.
That other elimination came right alongside it, as Doylson's Law also advanced in the Round of 16, beating Rush Hour 5&3. That one drew even less pick'em love at 16 percent, so the desk had back to back long shots come through on the same night. Elsewhere, the losers bracket kept churning. Scotty Sauce got past Taylor Bagged 2&1 in a match that split the room close to down the middle, and Mart's Hybrid took down Tom Snydeboom 3&2 in a coin flip affair that finished just short of a pick'em majority.
With 19 of 32 teams still alive in the Fall Classic, the season long pick'em race continues to tighten at the top. trplbgy holds the lead with 380 points and a 34-31 record, with The1TopDawg right behind at 360 and Rballer11 close enough to matter at 355.
Next week brings quarterfinal action, with Beez Dawg taking on Gorilla Gypsy Wednesday and Tom Danger meeting Doylson's Law Sunday. The losers bracket keeps grinding too, with Pickle Slice facing Mattjak Attack Tuesday and Squat Sticks against Zone Bag Sunday, while matchups involving Rush Hour, Yaks and Whiskey, and Rob's Caddy are locked in but still searching for a day.
