🗞️ The Weekly Wrap · Week of Oct 18
The biggest shock of the week came in the Ubsey Golf Par 3 Shootout, where Justthebible1611 knocked off Jonty in the Losers Round 3, a 1 up result that only 6 percent of the clubhouse saw coming. On paper this was a runaway for Jonty, but golf in the losers bracket does not care about pick'em sheets, and Justthebible1611 made sure of that with a one hole margin to survive another week.
Elsewhere in the Shootout, chalk mostly held serve. CDickerson handled business twice, taking down Leedaddy23 6&4 and then tstens2 5&4, the latter backed by 92 percent of pickers. StalcupFarms13 cruised past scotty4611 8&6 in the Winners Quarterfinal with 69 percent support, and TheBigDog kept rolling with wins over 2ndFlightGolf and TOM70 to push through the losers side. Not everything went according to form though. JLewTheBot's 1 up win over Beezy0902 had just 13 percent of the room on his side, and Gropper's 4&3 victory over Chubsy was an even bigger outlier at 20 percent.
Over in the 2026 Fall Classic, Barber's Ida edged Mart's Hybrid 1 up in the Losers Round 6, a true coin flip at 50 percent. That tournament is down to four teams alive out of thirty two, with the Shootout still carrying thirty of its original sixty four players forward.
In the season long pick'em race, Triple Bogey sits atop the standings with 1060 points, just ahead of MD Golfs at 1025, with The1TopDawg a bit further back at 950. Pickers were busy this week too, logging 165 picks across the slate.
Looking ahead, the Shootout's Winners Semifinal brings Gropper vs trplbgy on Monday and StalcupFarms13 vs TheSingingGolfer on Tuesday, with GimmeG vs FlyWithTheG5 also set for Tuesday. Several other losers bracket matchups, including YetiG08 vs EricsBBQandMORE and LeftyMurph vs TheBigDog, are still finding a time.
