Verified research

From the MSS study: what the sensor measures, what it costs to run, and what it needs from the room.

Bright-room commercial sim bay pick, if you can nail placement and accept unpublished lag

The MSS verdict

Why people buy

6,000 ANSI lumens floods bright golf-sim rooms
0.58:1 short throw, big image, no golfer shadows
30,000-hr laser + IP6X-sealed engine, zero lamp upkeep
True 4K UHD with HDR/HLG and HDBaseT pro install I/O

Trade-offs

No published input lag spec, unproven for fast sim play
Fixed lens, no zoom, throw distance must be exact
Tiny lens shift (±4% H) leaves little mount wiggle
36 dB at full power is audible in quiet rooms
The fine print
Optoma publishes no input lag figure for the ZK608TST; with a fixed lens and minimal shift, the mount must match the 0.58:1 throw and 106% offset almost exactly.
