How to make a Fiberbuilt Player Preferred hitting strip flush with putting turf?

Brand: Fiberbuilt

Build the surrounding putting turf up on 1 inch gym foam plus turf so it sits level with the hitting strip itself. One setup using a Fiberbuilt Player Preferred 4x10 stance mat with a hitting strip achieved a flush transition between the strip and NP45 putting turf this way. The stance mat's rubber edge still sits about half an inch above the putting surface, but that raised edge is only on the sides and does not interfere with putting through the flush center area.
