Question 1

How do I fix webcam putting ball speed being too fast or slow in GSPro?

Accepted Answer

Adjust the radius setting in the webcam putting advanced settings, since a bigger radius number makes the ball appear bigger to the tracking, which slows the rolled speed, and a smaller number speeds it up. Set your GSPro green stimp to match your actual flooring stimp, then tune radius so a 10 foot putt in GSPro travels 10 feet across your room. Typical radius values fall between 3 and 9, so nudge up or down by 1 from whatever the software suggests.

Question 2

How to make OBS change scenes based on club selection in GSPro for floor projection?

Accepted Answer

Use the Advanced Scene Switcher plugin for OBS, not Auto Scene Switcher. It lets you trigger scene changes based on on screen content, either by matching a color or by using OCR to read text values like the selected club, then firing an action when that value changes. For a purpose built option, the OBS_OpenGolfCoach_Plugin on GitHub was made specifically for floor projection overlays like putter reference lines. See OBS plugin built for floor projection overlays: https://github.com/TaylorOpenLaunch/OBS_OpenGolfCoach_Plugin

Question 3

Can I use webcam putting if I connect a Rapsodo MLM2PRO directly to GSPro?

Accepted Answer

No. GSPro only accepts data from one connected interface at a time, so if the MLM2PRO connects straight to GSPro you lose putting data. To get both, run the launch monitor through a third party connector like Springbok instead, which merges full shot data from the MLM2PRO with webcam based putting tracking and passes everything to GSPro as one combined feed.

Question 4

Why does GSPro show a different carry distance than the launch monitor's raw yardage?

Accepted Answer

Both numbers come from the same measured data, ball speed, spin, spin axis, and launch angle, but GSPro and the launch monitor each run their own physics formula to estimate carry from those inputs. Since the formulas differ slightly, the results will be close but not identical, even with elevation and settings matched between the two. This is expected behavior, not a sign of a setup error.

Question 5

How do you overlay clean GSPro video onto a screen shot in OBS?

Accepted Answer

Use corner pinning, an OBS extension that lets you shape and position a secondary video source so it lines up exactly over the impact screen area in your camera shot. Install the corner pinning extension in OBS, then drag its corner handles to match the screen's edges. This keeps the projected image crisp instead of washed out, since you are compositing the actual GSPro video feed rather than filming the projection directly.

Question 6

Does a projector need a computer to fill a 16:9 screen from a launch monitor's direct video output?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if the launch monitor cannot output a custom resolution. Feeding a projector directly from a device like the Garmin R50 means you are stuck with whatever aspect ratio it outputs, so a 4:3 signal on a 16:9 screen leaves black bars or stretched ovals. A PC with a graphics card lets you set a custom resolution in the video card settings to fill the entire screen correctly.
