The MSS verdict

Why people buy

3,500 lumens of laser punch for bright sim rooms

4.4 ms input lag (1080p/240Hz), instant ball flight

0.496:1 short throw keeps projector out of swing path

30,000-hr laser, no lamps to buy, ever

Trade-offs

No lens shift or zoom, mount placement must be exact

Fixed 116% offset constrains ceiling-mount height

Up to 35 dB fan noise at full brightness

Premium laser pricing at ~$2,199

The fine print

No lens shift and a fixed-throw lens: mount position is dictated entirely by screen size and the 116% offset, measure before you drill. Keystone correction exists but costs sharpness on a 4K image.
