Verified research
From the MSS study: what the sensor measures, what it costs to run, and what it needs from the room.
Install-grade brightness and laser longevity for large bays; input lag is unpublished.
Why people buy
6,500-lumen class brightness punches through lit sim rooms
30,000-hr laser, zero lamp swaps, rated for 24/7 duty
Big vertical lens shift + 1.6x zoom eases ceiling installs
IP6X-sealed optics resist range dust and debris
Trade-offs
Input lag unpublished, unproven for lag-sensitive sim play
36 dB at full power is audible in a quiet bay
WUXGA (1920x1200), not 4K
No wireless networking; wired control only
The fine print
Optoma publishes no input lag figure for the ZU607T, and ProjectorCentral lists 5,200 ANSI lumens against the 6,500-lumen claim, verify responsiveness and brightness before committing it to a sim bay.Specifications
