Verified research
From the MSS study: what the sensor measures, what it costs to run, and what it needs from the room.
Commercial-grade 6,000-lumen ST laser for bright commercial bays, if lag isn't the priority.
Why people buy
6,000 ISO lumens floods impact screens, even lights-on
0.58:1 short throw clears the swing zone in tight bays
30,000-hr laser, 360° mount, rated for all-day commercial use
Manual lens shift, rare on a fixed short-throw lens
Trade-offs
Fixed lens, no optical zoom; throw distance must be exact
No published input lag; Game Mode doesn't claim lag cuts
36 dB normal mode is audible in a quiet sim room
Overkill price/brightness for a single home bay
The fine print
Input lag is unpublished and Optoma's Game Mode is not claimed to reduce it, verify responsiveness with your launch monitor software before committing to a commercial install.Specifications
