Verified research
From the MSS study: what the sensor measures, what it costs to run, and what it needs from the room.
Commercial-grade laser firepower for multi-bay venues; overkill, and unproven lag, at home
Why people buy
7,200 lumens punches through bright commercial sim bays
Motorized zoom/focus/lens shift for precise ceiling installs
30,000-hr sealed IP5X laser rated for 24/7 operation
0.75-0.95:1 short throw clears the swing zone
Trade-offs
Input lag unpublished, risky for latency-sensitive play
$7,400+ pro pricing, overkill for home bays
34-36 dB fan noise
No wireless networking; pro install recommended
The fine print
No published input lag, Optoma markets this as a ProScene install projector, not a gaming unit; latency-sensitive sim play is unverified. Brightness is 7,200 center / 6,000 ANSI lumens.Specifications
