Why people buy
8,200 lumens floods sim screens even in bright rooms

30,000-hr laser, IP5X dust-sealed engine rated for 24/7
Motorized zoom + V/H lens shift ease ceiling alignment
Trade-offs
No published input lag, unproven for fast sim graphics
$7,499, commercial-install pricing
WUXGA 1920x1200 max, no native 4K
36 dB fan noise audible in quiet rooms
The fine print
Optoma publishes no input lag figure for the ZU820TST, it is an installation projector, not a gaming model; verify latency before committing it to sim play.Specifications
